Teeth in One Day

Thanks to advancements in modern dentistry, Sunrise Dental can restore your smile faster than ever before. In the past, missing all or most of your teeth could only be solved with dentures. Left untreated, a toothless smile could eventually lead to severe jawbone deterioration and other oral health concerns. With a revolutionary dental implant procedure called Teeth in One Day, we can restore your smile in—yes—just one day!

Are You a Candidate for Teeth in One Day?

If you have unsatisfactory or no teeth at all, Teeth in One Day may be your best option for a permanent and natural-looking smile restoration. The procedure is commonly known by a few different names, such as Teeth in One Visit, All-on-4, Teeth in a Day, but they all refer to the same quick and effective procedure. Traditional dentures are often ill-fitting and difficult to maintain, and you may avoid certain foods because they can get trapped between your gums and the denture. With Teeth in One Day, you can eat the foods you love without worrying about your dentures. You also won’t need to worry about removing your dentures to clean every evening. Teeth in One Day are fixed with implants so you can floss, brush, and otherwise care for them just the way you would with natural teeth.

Teeth in One Day does require a certain amount of bone in the jaw to facilitate the implants. If you have experienced significant bone loss in your jaw, Dr. Mettler or Dr. Griego may have to perform a bone graft before your new smile can be provided. What to Expect for Your Teeth in One Day Procedure

You’ll need to come into our Peoria dental office for a consultation before we can begin the Teeth in One Day process. After we’ve determined you’re a good candidate for the treatment, we’ll take i-CAT scans and Dr. Mettler or Dr. Griego will perform a thorough oral exam. We will use this information to create your temporary prosthesis and your final restoration. We’ll be sure to answer all your questions and provide any necessary procedural and financial information.

During your next visit, we’ll begin your Teeth in One Day procedure. This is surgery, so you will be fully sedated to minimize pain and maximize your comfort. A small incision is made at each implant site, and we’ll remove any remaining, unhealthy teeth. Then your dental implants will be gently placed in the incisions – these act as the anchors for your restoration. These screws will heal and eventually fuse to your jaw bone. In many cases, a temporary prosthesis will be provided so you can return to your routine while you heal.

Once you have properly healed, we’ll invite you back to the office to receive your final, custom restoration. Your Teeth in One Day restoration will look and feel sturdy, just like natural teeth.
