How Is Invisalign Better Than Other Clear Aligners?
If you’ve decided that you want straighter teeth and you’re interested in trying plastic aligners, you might be wondering which brand to choose. You’ve heard of Invisalign, bu...
When you smile, your teeth are often the very first thing that people notice. If you have crooked or crowded teeth or even too much space between your teeth, your smile is impacted, which can also affect your confidence. In addition to affecting the quality of your smile, crooked, crowded teeth can impact your oral health, increasing your risk for tooth decay and gum disease. Metal braces have long been the only solution available for treating crooked teeth. However, many patients, especially adults, find shiny metal braces unsuitable for their lifestyle.
At Sunrise Dental, we can provide you with a more discreet treatment with Invisalign clear braces. View before and after photos of Invisalign patients in our Smile Gallery.
Invisalign, or clear braces, is a GENTLE, modern and discreet treatment for straightening crooked teeth. Instead of metal brackets and wires, this treatment uses clear, rigid plastic aligners (or braces) to achieve a straighter, healthier, more beautiful smile. The aligners are completely clear, rendering them essentially invisible when you smile.
Additionally, the clear braces are removable. They are removed to eat and brush and floss your teeth. For the best results, your aligners should be worn for at least 20 to 22 hours each day.
Invisalign is a treatment that involves the use of a series of clear aligners. These aligners are made from impressions of your mouth and are custom designed to provide you with optimal results. We take digital impressions of your teeth and bite, using our state-of-the-art iTero Element scanner. Then, we use specialized software that helps us develop the best path towards straightening your teeth and correcting your bite.
Each set of clear aligners is made to be worn for one to two weeks at a time. Each set of aligners is slightly different from the ones before them, which aids in gradually shifting your teeth into proper alignment. Treatment length varies from patient to patient as well as your specific situation. Once treatment is complete, a set of retainers is made, designed to be worn while you sleep, to help you maintain your beautiful new smile.
There are many benefits associated with Invisalign treatment. These benefits include:
